Heroes 9/29/08 One of Us, One of Them

SPOILER ALERT! MAJOR RECAP OF LAST NIGHTS SHOW So last night started to get back on track to figuring out Heroes, but does anyone else feel that you aren’t getting any answers? Like every time you figure something out, you get a hundred more questions? Any who- this episode was no different. Sylar was “fed” by mama Petrelli. Then she announced to Noah and Sylar will be partners.

Nathan came and visited Tracy where he told her that Nikki was form New Orleans (this is after she is seen freezing a rose). So of course she flies down there at the end of Nikki’s funeral. Poor little Micah walks in and sees her. Luckily he is smart enough to know that it is not her. He then helps her and finds that him and his mom were both born at the same hospital on the same with Dr. Zimmerman signing their birth certificates (miss you Micah). So then of course Nikki goes to find Dr. Zimmerman where he tells her he created her.

Peter and his gang of escaped level fives go to rob a bank. Peter stops one of the other guys form hurting someone in the bank. Another escapee tricks Peter and he figures out Jesse is really not Jesse but someone else. About the same time Sylar and Noah show up at the bank. Sylar talks like Tommy Lee Jones in the Fugitive. This gains them access to the bank as FBI agents. Noah tells Sylar to stay outside. He goes into the bank when the one dude figured out Jesse was not Jesse and so peter can not save him but…. He finds out that Jesse can control sound and is in the middle of stopping the gang from hurting Noah when Future Peter comes in and shoves him out of his body. He then jets him off to the future. So that leaves Noah alone with the bad guys; but wait Sylar was told to stay outside! Of course he doesn’t (lame exchange between the characters on how Noah intentionally told Sylar this so he wouldn’t stay outside. So they round up the bad guys and Noah walks out with one. Sylar locks the door (Noah tells him he can fight the urge) and kills the other level fivers. They take them back to the Company and Mama Petrelli hands Sylar back his prisoner clothes. I guess for being bad. In the hall Noah tells the Haitian that he is going to figure out a way to kill Sylar.

Claire’s bio mom comes to live with her and her fam. The mom that raised her and Claire get into an argument about her trying to be a regular teenager and going to school. Bio mom tries to step in but is put in her place by other mom. Claire leaves and bio mom asks Claire why she wants to learn how to fight. Claire replies to help others or something lame like that. So bio mom takes Claire to a shipping container to teach her to fight. Instead she basically suffocates Claire to get her to admit the real reason she wants to learn how to fight (basically to get back at Sylar). Claire lies to other mom later about a cheerleading thing and you seeing her driving off.

Hiro and Ando track Daphne to a theater where she and Hiro start flirting. Ok that is not the true intention of the scene, but they do give each other cute little. The Haitian is there to move the formula per Mama Petrelli. So Hiro and Ando want to get the other half of the formula because Daphne had already given Hiro half up. Now the Haitian had stopped their powers but then Ando knocks him out and Daphne runs out with the other half of the formula. The Haitian wakes up and then goes back to the Company to have the conversation mentioned above with Noah.

Not to be forgotten is Parkman’s spirit quest. Not a lot happened except the guy (who I think might be tied to the Haitian) repaints a picture because the future has changed. It kind of looks like Parkman is holding Daphne. Then he feeds Parkman something and has him listen to something. Parkman then goes into the trance where his eyes role into the back of his head.

While this was a better episode the other ones I do feel they are still missing the mark. When you have such a large cast you need to bring them together more often. Plus if you are going to introduce other characters keep them around. Except for Maya, her “relationship” with Suresh needs to end.
