Lilly does not want Marshall to pick her up from the airport. Barney and ted hit on girls from Arizona. Ted says they might come see them play. barney pulls him aide and says no. Ted tells them to give them a call. Barney pulls them aside again. Ted makes corny joke. They don't get their numbers as it starts to snow. (Cut to hurricane like shot form above). Says it snowed for 3 days.
Ted and Barney are at McClarens. Barney says he will have party school bingo if the girls come. Marshall realizes he should go pick up Lilly. Cut to Lilly in the plane talking to an old lady and realizes Marshall might come and she needs to get beer. McClarens was going to close early, but they talk the guy into letting them close it.
The girls show up and the guys call dibs on each girl . They invite rest of the band (marching band). Barney and Ted have a telepathic conversation and keep the bar open. Robin is taking Marshall to the airport, where he says they are losing the little things that they use to do. Robin thinks these cute little things are stupid. Marshall calls her a robot. Robin goes off on him. The snow plow comes by and buries them in snow. Marshall apologizes (sort of) to Robin. He says he has to follow the corny rituals. Robin opens the sun roof and they climb out. Red and Marshall move the party to their place. Lilly is not coming in until Thursday. Marshall really decides not to pick her up on wed. On Thursday the parts that you see Lilly in earlier are actually on Thursday and Marshall is not there. Then he shows up with the marching band and tells her he loves her. The marching band is playing Old Lang syne and Marshall says Happy New Year.
